Dear Listener:
At the age of 12 years old I wrote my first song. It was at that time of innocence, humbleness, obedience, and trust that God told me to write songs for him and to preach his word through song. At 15 years old I made my first studio recording and this rebellious teenager now wanted worldly success.
I soon thought that I was a success. I was writing and producing hit songs for numerous secular artists. However, my life, peace, and all joy were being stolen from me because of my disobedience to God’s word and my sinful lifestyle. After allowing Satan and my desires to take me down, I returned to God. I returned to God not as, or to be a musician, but to learn who Jesus was and who he could be to me. Jesus Christ saved me, forgave my sins, delivered me from my addictions, filled me with the Holy Ghost and placed me on a straight path of holiness and righteousness. After spending years with the Lord and learning and living his word, God instructed me to share the gift of music that he blessed me with. This first CD is merely my attempt to obey God.
My prayer is that this CD will first and foremost glorify the Lord Jesus Christ. I also pray that the listener of this CD, who has a personal relationship with Christ, will be encouraged to excel in their walk with and knowledge of the Lord. I also pray that any listener that does not have a personal relationship with the Lord, will be encouraged to know who this hope of glory is that we sing about, and will come to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoices; and with my song will I praise him. Psalm 28:7
